HWM Group, a leading provider of demolition, contaminated soil solutions and groundworks contracting services, is thrilled to announce the appointment of James Poole as its new Operations Director. James joins us in exciting times as we continue to expand.
James is a chartered civil engineer with 23 years’ experience in construction and civil engineering. James says, “I started life on the ground as a bricklayer, climbed the ranks as an engineer into site management and have managed to get my HNC, a degree and a Masters in civil engineering along the way. Now I’ve joined HWM because I see a great opportunity to be part of a growing business in a senior position where I can use my skills and experience to really make a difference”.
James has certainly hit the deck running; a couple of weeks in and he’s thoroughly enjoying meeting everyone and getting up to speed with the clients, surrounded by a great team against a backdrop of a growing and varied workload.
Away from work, James and his wife are kept busy with their young family and he still finds time to play rugby. Last year, James and his friends ran the Brighton marathon raising over £25K for charity. Over the next year, he has plans to raise money for the Elsie’s Rose charity which is close to his heart.
